FACILITIES AND BANQUETING :: ARTSCAPE
Introduction Facilities & Conference venues Enquiries

Since 1 April 1999, the NICO MALAN Theatre Centre, on D F Malan Street Foreshore Cape Town, has been managed by ARTSCAPE, a section 21 (non-profit) company. Unlike the previous Cape Performing Arts Board (CAPAB), the new ARTSCAPE Company is no longer a production house but manages the theatre centre as a playhouse. After a lengthy public consultation process, the name of the venue was changed from the Nico Malan to ARTSCAPE Theatre Centre.

The ARTSCAPE THEATRE CENTRE is South Africa's first multi-purpose centre for the presentation of the performing arts. It houses two large scale theatres as well as a smaller performance venue, function rooms, rehearsal venues, dressing rooms, offices, Fine Music Radio (FMR), canteen facility, restaurant, and more.

Major productions like Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”, “We Will Rock You”, “Cats” and “Chicago” have made the Artscape Theatre Centre a thrilling hub of entertainment in the Western Cape.
